In March, 2025 I signed a contract with Cornerstone Builders to replace all the water pipes in my home plus install updated lighting in two bathrooms and 7 closets. My initial approach to getting this expensive, complicated work done was interviewing individual plumbing and electrician companies. What I soon realized is that these single purpose companies would be daunting to negotiate with if their work was not done correctly or on time. Repiping a home or replacing major lighting is likely done only once in life and these tradespeople are unlikely to suffer from lack of work, so seeing the same plumber or electrician again is unlikely. In other words my opinion and needs would not impose adequate obligation. Hiring Cornerstone to select and manage these subcontractors equalized my standing. Because they might hire them again Allen and Bre could make sure their subcontractors charged a fair price, showed up regularly until the work was completed and corrected the inevitable mistakes that come with projects like this. (These adverse elements have to be expected with any extensive home improvement project. There are too many unknowns and the workers are human.) There was also a qualitative difference in communicating with Allen and Bre. They listen intently and provide well thought out advice drawing from their deep project management experience in remodeling and home construction. What I have described are features that are most valued when a project is underway and reversing course is problematic. Would I hire Cornerstone again for another home project? Absolutely!

Cornerstone Builders produces excellent results and is great to work with! I would welcome them back without hesitation for any future remodeling projects. Provided with a detailed project plan, that accounted for the delivery times of our selected materials, we were well prepared for what to expect each week. In addition, the project manager Bre proactively reached out with reminders and only a few weather driven adjustments to the schedule. Frequent site visits from both Allen (owner) and Bre to check the quality of work completed, cleanliness of the space, and overall progress met expectations. They were both easy to work with and answered every question or concern we had. By the end of the project they felt like good friends.

Really appreciated the quality, craftsmanship and cleanup from the group at Cornerstone Builders. We remodeled our kitchen, moved a fireplace and tweaked a bunch of different things around the home that had been bothering me - always took the time to consider my input and offered alternatives.

When you first send them an inquiry you get an auto response that they'll get back to you in one to two days. They didn't get back to me for a week. Okay that's fine. Then they ask me a lot of questions about my project and I spend time providing all the information and pictures only to have them say that my budget's too small and they're booked out anyway until 2023. Well if that's the real reason they don't want to do the job then why wouldn't they tell me their minimum and tell me they're booked out until 2023? It wasn't until they saw where I live and saw my kitchen that they decided they were too above doing my job. Maybe they assumed I couldn't pay. But I have the money right here. Waiting to spend it. But not on them Thanks for wasting my time.

Cornerstone brought back our faith in the Construction industry. They are professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to making dreams come true. We hired Cornerstone to remodel our entire 1970’s ranch style home. We are beyond thrilled with the results! There are a few reasons we chose Cornerstone. First, Allen was honest and upfront about how expensive remodeling a home can be. Having not remodeled in over a decade, we were ignorant to the cost and appreciated the dose of reality. Second, Allen came up with an amazing idea for our master bedroom/bathroom within the first few minutes of seeing the room. His design allowed for optimum use of the space and turned out to be the exact look and feel we never thought possible without an room extension. Finally, we liked that Cornerstone is a small locally owned company. We were able to get to know and trust the people that would be in our home. It is apparent that Allen chooses the subcontractors carefully. They were all efficient, friendly, and respectful. We chose to live in the house during remodeling. In hindsight, we underestimated the stress involved and overestimated our patience for the time it takes to remodel a home. Luckily Cornerstone’s Project Manager, Bre, was always available. She handled any concerns, questions, or anxieties that arose with understanding and compassion. This was a long, arduous process that resulted in our dream house. Allen has created a home for us that we never knew we could have. We are beyond satisfied!

July 2023: I hired Cornerstone to rebuild my side patio and add a swing. I was extremely pleased with the results! Allen and his team were very professional and courteous. I would definitely hire them again! July 2025: I needed a new roof and my first call was to Cornerstone. I knew they would treat me well and get the job done right. My job was completed in 2 days and I am very pleased with the outcome. It is nice to have a Contractor I can trust to not take advantage of me. They are always professional and kind. My husband and I hired Cornerstone Builders, Inc to remodel both bathrooms in our 1950s ranch home. We had a vision of what we wanted and Allen was able to guide us through the design, fixture, and tile selection to make our vision a reality. We had been told by other builders that what we wanted wasn't feasible or wouldn't be worth the cost. Each bathroom is less than 30 sq ft in size which presented challenges with fixture selection however they always figured out a solution to the problem without sacrificing the design or quality of materials. The construction went well, we were kept informed on schedule changes which were mostly due to county inspection delays. As part of the remodel we also had all the plumbing replaced in the house and their sub-contractor did a great job with that. We are both pleased with the end result and would highly recommend them.
